The older the policy, the less restrictive and more valuable it is likely to be. General liability insurance policies 'written prior to the mid-1980s, for instance, are particularly valuable because they frequently do not contain pollution exclusions, aggregate limits and limits to defense costs. And, the policy coverage is still effective decades later.
